Gackt
Gackt is heading out on tour again, after a 3 year pause in live performances, on what he's calling the "Requiem et Remeniscence II" tour, a throwback to his tour of the same name some six or seven years ago. At the same time, he will release a mammoth box set that includes one DVD and thirteen CDs, carrying the title "nine*nine" (read: nine point nine).
Gackt's 10 year anniversary as a solo artist is next year in 2009, but this set will be released now in anticipation of the benchmark. With these soundtracks from his live tours, starting with "MARS~sora kara no houmonsha~" in 2000, until "TRAINING DAYS DRUG PARTY" in 2006, you're invited to enter the world of the one and only Gackt, and experience the road he's traveled on his solo career.
The DVD includes footage of Gackt's 1999 radio show "Kuwareta Youkan to Kajirareta Mikan", which will share not only Gackt's words of advice, but also a side of him that fans don't often get to see.
The set will go on sale October 29th, and cost 17,150 JPY (about US$164). Prepare your wallets!
